New works by Yondee Shane Hansen - Wattle Dreaming

Nyoongar artist Yondee (Black Goanna) Shane Hanen was born in the south-west of Wester Australia in 1964 at Dumbleyung. An experienced and accomplished artist, Yondee Shane Hansen paints the stories and legends of his people. His works are abstract in their presentation but narrative in their contentdepicting mission life, hunting and animals.

Anna Price Petyarre - My Mother's Country

As a traditional Aboriginal woman who engages in sacred ceremonies, Anna also paints women’s body paint aspects of women’s ceremony and paintings depicting her mother’s country. Anna also paints the Bush Yam and Bush Yam Seed Dreamings. These are the Dreamings of her grandfather and fathers country from the Boundary Bore region.

New Paintings by Linda Syddick Napaltjarri

Some of the stories Linda paints include the Dreaming story of the Tingari and the Emu Men. Her paintings focus on the area around Lake Mackay, which is central to the cultural and spiritual life of the Pintupi people. As the Western Desert people are semi-nomadic, they spent part of their time around the lake carrying out trade and ceremonies. Her paintings reflect the traditional way of life and also her father's and stepfather's stories which they were also responsible for.
